Colombian born and US-made, JD Botia is a multidisciplinary artist and designer traversing medium, time, and space. As a native New Yorker and lifelong creative, JD is one to use the imaginary for the language of the absurd and the ordinary. Abstract surrealist painter, typographer, graphic and interior designer, JD utilizes art as a vehicle to express and evoke. He is unpretentious in his approach and private in his process, ultimately creating in the liminal space that exists between him and the beholder. At the moment you may find him painting, learning web design, how to market his visual art, and brand designing. When he isn’t working, JD is a devoted father, husband, and friend.
